This spring, Regreen Springfield made new shade and ornamental trees to homeowners in Springfield.  We have reached our goal of participants for this spring’s planting program, and expect to have more trees available in the fall.

Last summer, we were able to plant 1,040 new trees across the tornado zone of Springfield in an effort to regreen the city and to help reduce energy use by individual homeowners.  We have now been able to plant trees at all of the homes that have requested trees over the past year, and hope that we will be able to continue this planting effort during this fall’s planting season.
