Citizen Science Academy and Tree Steward Training Kicks Off in April

Beginning in April, Regreen Springfield will be offering two new programs for you to learn about trees and the green industry practice.Citizen Science Academy.  Check out the details here…

bio-2-photoCitizen Science Academy – Begins April 12, 2018. A free 10-week training program that will train you to collect and find data about the natural world around you, and link you with actual researchers doing work in Springfield. The free training course will be offered for ten weeks, and will include two sessions each week. Additionally, a field trip will let participants join in a real world research project taking place in Springfield.

volunteer-ycc-253Green Skills Training Program   Begins April 4, 2018. This 10-week program will provide residents, students and others an opportunity to participate in a program of live, interactive instructional sessions that will deliver a comprehensive program of tree care education. Included in this program will be training and instruction on plant growth, tree selection, planting, pruning, tools, safety and maintenance.
