bio 2 photoBeginning on Thursday, August 17th, Regreen Springfield will be offering a free 10-week training program that will train you to collect and find data about the natural world around you, and link you with actual researchers doing work in Springfield. The free training course will be offered for ten weeks, and will include two sessions each week.  Additionally, a field trip will let participants join in a real world research project taking place in Springfield.

Each session will last about 2.5 hours, followed by one-on-one time with course instructors. You will be offered the opportunity to learn from professionals and discover about the trees, birds, wildlife and waterways in your neighborhood. There is no charge to participate in this program, and all training materials, tools, transportation fees, safety equipment and books will be provided to you.

Training sessions will be held at the STCC Business Growth Center, One Federal Street, right across from the main entrance to Springfield Technical Community College, and at the UMass Springfield Center at Tower Square, Main Street, Springfield.

Classes begin on Thursday, August 17th at 2:30 PM. Pre-Registration is required. To register please Click Here.
