Citizen Science Academy Begins April 12th

Data collection

This Spring, Regreen Springfield will be offering a free 10-week training program that will train you to collect and find data about the natural world around you, and link you with actual researchers doing work in Springfield. The free training course will be offered for ten weeks, on Thursdays starting on April 12, 2018.

Each session will last about 2.5 hours, followed by one-on-one time with course instructors. You will be offered the opportunity to learn from professionals and discover about the trees, birds, wildlife, and waterways in your neighborhood. There is no charge to participate in this program, and all training materials, tools, transportation fees, safety equipment and books will be provided to you.

Training sessions will be held at the UMass Springfield Center, Tower Square, 1500 Main St, Springfield, MA .  Computers will be provided for each Academy class session, and you will be able to access the computers at the Center at times other than during our class session.
