Parks and People Educational Program at Emerson Wight Park – Birds, Bees and Bats

Parks and People- BirdsWednesday, July 12, 2017
3:00 – 6:00 PM
Emerson Wight Park, Marble Street, Springfield, MA
Come join us for an outdoor adventure where you will learn all about birds, bees, and bats in the South End Neighborhood of Springfield. These organisms help pollinate plants and add to the quality of life in our neighborhood. Having different types of birds and bees can tell us about the health of our environment. They keep our forests and our world healthy.

Plan to attend this FREE informational event, which features demonstrations, hands-on activities and refreshments. This event is open to all ages, including adults, and to all residents of Springfield and surrounding towns.

This outdoor event features researchers who will lead you on a fun and exciting look at the pollinators in the city. You will learn how you can participate in helping to care for and maintain the populations of birds, bees, and bats in your yard, in our parks, and along our streets. This will be a FUN event, and don’t worry if you don’t know much about pollinators ; you will know a lot more when you leave the event.
