The Rebekahs Make a Donation to ReGreen Springfield

The fraternal organization the Rebekahs continue their “Living Legacy Program” by donating $1,000 to plant trees in the tornado zone in Springfield.  The Living Legacy Program aims to plant trees in the jurisdictions of the organization to increase environemetal quality and to reduce global warming.  The fraternal order has planted over 3 million trees since the program began in 1989.

In order to continue with their commitment to the environment and local community two Massachusetts Rebekah Lodges donated funds to ReGreen Springfield.  The Amanda J. Bosworth Rebekah Lodge #186 of Hingam and The Lucy Webb Hayes Rebekah Lodge #126 of Springfield each donated $500 for the total donation of $1000 for tree planting.
