Green Skills Resource Page – Fall 2017

All of the items that you have added to your 3-ring class binder are included on the topic and date noted below.  The materials should help you to explore the presentation topics in a bit more detail.  Enjoy!


The ‘Green Skills Certificate’ is awarded to individuals who have completed the Green Skills Training Program, offered by Regreen Springfield, and have successful passed a peer-reviewed competency examination developed by the Urban Natural Resources Institute, an initiative of the US Forest Service located at the University of Massachusetts/Amherst.

The examination, which is only available to participants in the Regreen Springfield Green Skills Training Program.  The exam consists of 100 questions from course materials, and is administered approximately four weeks following the completing of the training program. Review sessions are conducted by Regreen Springfield staff in order to help students prepare for the examination. A passing grade of 70 points is required to achieve the Green Skills Certificate.

The examination consists of questions on materials that are presented in the Green Skills Training Program, including all lecture notes, PowerPoint slides, presentations, online resources and information contained in the Green Skills Technical Resource Manual, noted below. Multiple choice, True and False, Matching and Essay questions may be included in the exam.

The following schedule of classes will be delivered during the Summer and Fall 2017.  Unless noted, all classes will take place in the Third Floor classroom at Regreen Springfield, 1 Federal Street, Springfield, MA.
